Trucking Tributes with Chris Hulse

Military service shaped Chris Hulse’s leadership, and that perspective continues to guide him both in the trucking industry and in support of Wreaths Across America's mission.

This week on Trucking Tributes, host Elisabeth Barna welcomes Chris Hulse, Regional Transportation Manager at Packaging Corporation of America, a member of the National Industrial Transportation League, and a Truckloads of Remembrance participant.

A former member of the Virginia Army National Guard, Hulse served as an infantry trainer and deployed to Qatar in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. Today, with family members laid to rest at Arlington National Cemetery, he understands firsthand why placing a veteran’s wreath each December matters. He describes it as a “small token of gratitude” that honors the sacrifices made by those who served and reminds us that every sponsorship, no matter the size, helps make a meaningful difference.

“I like to think whether in my capacity as a soldier or in corporate America, we're all able to positively impact those that are coming after us, so we're all a sum of our parts. Furthermore, it taught me that there's hardly ever any singular one-size-fits-all solution. We must all remain adaptable, flexible, and in a perpetual state of learning, but also remembering where we've come from,” Hulse said.

Tune in to Trucking Tributes on Wreaths Across America Radio’s Trucking Tuesday at 10 a.m. and again at 4 p.m. EST to hear more about Hulse’s experience with Wreaths Across America and his work in the trucking industry. You can also listen on demand on SoundCloud here.
