Wreaths Across America Honors Professional Drivers at the National Truck Driving Championship in Minneapolis

COLUMBIA FALLS, Maine and MINNEAPOLIS – August 18, 2025 Wreaths Across America (WAA) will proudly celebrate the accomplishments of professional drivers at the 2025 American Trucking Association’s National Truck Driving Championships (NTDC), but especially members of its Honor Fleet. The three-day event will be held August 20-23 in Minneapolis. Often referred to as the “Super Bowl of Safety,” the NTDC brings together the most skilled drivers in the country, each having already earned state-level recognition and driven millions of miles safely.

Each year, dozens of professional drivers and trucking companies go above and beyond to help move the WAA mission to Remember, Honor, Teach. Without the dedication of these professional drivers, delivering veterans’ wreaths across the nation would not be possible. This effort is personal for WAA Honor Fleet drivers, many of whom are veterans. Many drivers have shared that they consider the load of veterans’ wreaths the most meaningful delivery of their careers. Powerful stories like these are available on Wreaths Across America Radio’s “Trucking Tuesday” shows, like “Trucking Tributes” with Susan Patten. Wreaths Across America Radio host Chris Chapman will broadcast live from the event, interviewing drivers.

WAA’s Director of Transportation and Industry Relations, Courtney George, will attend this year’s NTDC in Minneapolis. Courtney will be available for interviews to share how WAA invests in the trucking community and the unique ways to join the year-round mission.

“Every year, I’m blown away by the incredible talent, precision, and professionalism these drivers bring to the National Truck Driving Championships. I’m excited to cheer on our Honor Fleet drivers who are competing this year. These drivers excel behind the wheel and give their time and talents to help us Remember, Honor, Teach. It’s a unique opportunity for drivers to be part of a mission that touches communities across the country,” said George.

In 2024 alone, 675 truckloads of veterans’ wreaths were successfully delivered, thanks to the collaboration of 442 carriers and transportation partners. While wreaths are moved by almost every mode of transport one could think of, it is the trucking industry that carries the greatest share of this sacred cargo. These drivers exemplify excellence in the field and represent the very best of the industry. Their commitment ensures that over 5,000 participating locations, including Arlington National Cemetery, will receive wreaths to honor millions of veterans laid to rest.

Wreaths Across America extends its gratitude to every driver, company, and partner who makes this mission possible. Their service ensures that no hero is forgotten. To learn more about how your company can support the mission, visit our transportation page.
