Wreaths Across America's Trucking Tributes Presents Ways to Participate with RadioNemo
The trucking industry is gearing up for the celebration of life known as National Wreaths Across America Day. Each year, the Road Dog Trucking family plays an integral part in the mission to remember, honor, and teach by helping us spread awareness throughout their audience of professional drivers and companies.
The Wreaths Across America mission grows every year because citizens, filled with gratitude, sponsor veterans’ wreaths to be placed in December at the headstones of the fallen across the country and overseas. Members of the transportation industry step up every year to ensure those fresh, balsam-fir wreaths make it from Downeast, Maine, to their final destination.
Now is the time to join the Wreaths Across America trucking family, and we’ve got several ways for you to get involved! First and foremost, we have open lanes in 2020! Our drivers tell us, transporting America’s respect in the form of Veterans’ Wreaths is one of the most meaningful loads they haul.
Secondly, Dave and the RadioNemo family have a page where you can sponsor a $15.00 veterans’ wreath to remember and honor a fallen hero. $5.00 from each wreath you sponsor goes directly back to the Transportation Fund. The Transportation Fund, in part, helps support the transportation of wreaths to locations where volunteer drivers and big trucks can’t go.
In addition to Arlington National Cemetery, Wreaths Across America and over 2,200 participating locations encourage you and your family to participate in a wreath-laying ceremony near you. Help us say their names and teach younger generations the value of freedom. It’s an inspirational way to join in unity and patriotism with millions of other Americans.
We’re nearing our countdown to Wreaths Day 2020! Volunteer Location Coordinators are working diligently with WAA HQ staff and cemetery officials to determine the best safety protocols for volunteers during the COVID pandemic.
Join the RadioNemo family in supporting the mission. Sponsor a wreath today and find out if your team can become part of the honor fleet!
Remember to tune in to the Dave Nemo Show on Road Dog Trucking the fourth Friday of every month for the Remember, Honor, Teach segment with Jimmy Mac and Wreaths Radio’s Michael W. Hale at 10:05 AM EDT. They talk with professional drivers and others in the trucking industry about their compelling experiences being involved with the mission. The August RHT segment features Walmart Transportation’s driver and long-time Wreaths Across America volunteer, Dave Mott.
