Directions to Cemetery

Navigation systems do an adequate job finding the cemetery. When you arrive, please follow the people and signs to the site of the parking area. We will have some shuttles to help people get to the ceremony itself. The ceremony will be at the soldiers monument in the main part of the cemetery. We plan on having a procession Lead by the color guard and Patriot Guard Riders, from the Cemetery Office up to the monument starting at 11:45am on National Wreaths Across America Day. Please plan appropriately for arrival, parking and getting to the ceremony site. Parking in the cemetery is reserved for Handicap and staff only. Not other entry will be permitted due to safety concerns.

Parking Instructions

Updated 11/4/2023:  Parking is somewhat limited at the cemetery and we try to reserve that for the elderly and handicapped. We encourage rideshare options or carpooling whenever possible, and offsite parking will be available at the Dayton VA Hospital located at 4100 W Third St, Dayton, OH 45428. For those parking at the cemetery, please do not move or go around any cones or barriers. Please park on one side of the road but not in the grass. All parking must be on a hard surface.

The cemetery grounds will be closed to general parking for safety and security reasons. Please use the link below for more information. Parking will be at the B Lot near the hospital and around building 127 (across from the VA Police station). We will have some shuttles available.

Only Staff and handicap will be allowed to park on cemetery grounds. Please plan accordingly as the ceremony starts promptly at noon on 16 Dec 2023. We expect a decent crowd and it is a short walk to the Solders monument where the ceremony will take place starting at noon with the Color Guard leading a procession up to the monument just before.
