Welcome to the American Heritage Troop VA1878's Wreaths Across America Page.
On December 14, 2024 (See location pages for ceremony and wreath placement details), our girls will be helping Union Cemetery to Remember and Honor our veterans by laying Remembrance wreaths on the graves of our country's fallen heroes.
Please help us honor and remember as many fallen heroes as possible by sponsoring remembrance wreaths, volunteering on Wreaths Day, or inviting your family and friends to attend with you.

Directions to Cemetery
IDA LEE RECREATION CENTER:
From the west, take the West Market Street (Business Rt. 7) exit from Route 7. Follow it to North King Street and turn left on Route 15 North. From Route 15, turn left into Ida Lee Recreation Center and follow Ida Lee Drive to the end. Park in the outermost spaces of recreation center. You can easily access the back gate of the cemetery through the library parking lot.
Parking Instructions
Please follow the parking recommendations below. Unless someone in your group has limited mobility or special needs, please do not park within the cemetery grounds.
Volunteers:
- Sides of Old Waterford Road at the back of the cemetery;
- Rust Library,
- Ida Lee Recreation Center
Special Needs Parking ONLY is on the cemetery perimeter road near the chapel.
Ceremony and Volunteer Information
There will be a short information session at 11:20 a.m., prior to the start of the ceremony. We will form the Honor Circle at 11:30 a.m. where you are encouraged to call out the name of service personnel to Remember and Honor them.
The Leesburg Civil Air Patrol Composite Squadron Honor Guard will present the colors at 12:00 p.m.
Once the Honor Guard has retired the colors and Taps is played, you will be dismissed to collect your wreath from a Civil Air Patrol cadet and place it at a veteran's headstone. After you place the wreath, you'll say their name out loud and honor them with a moment of silence.
