On December 19, 2026 at 12:00 pm (Wreath Placement Immediately Following Ceremony), Wreaths Across America will be at Damascus Cemetery to Remember and Honor our veterans through the laying of Remembrance wreaths on the graves of our country's fallen heroes and the act of saying the name of each and every veteran aloud.
Please help our location lay wreaths at as many graves as possible by clicking the red "Sponsor" button. Or, if you would like to volunteer to participate in the wreath laying ceremony, please click the “Volunteer” button next to the cemetery name below, and don't forget to click the "Invite" button to invite your friends and family to join you.

From Salem, OH (East):

Head west on State Route 62 (US-62 W) toward Damascus.

Continue approximately 7 miles.

As you enter Damascus, look for the Damascus Friends Church and Damascus Cemetery on your left-hand side.

Follow event signage and volunteer parking directions once on site.
From Alliance, OH (West):

Take State Route 62 (US-62 E) toward Damascus.

Continue approximately 9 miles until you reach the Damascus community.

The cemetery entrance will be on your right-hand side, across from Damascus Friends Church.
From Canfield or Columbiana (South):

Take State Route 45 N toward Salem.

Turn onto US-62 W and continue toward Damascus (about 7 miles).

The cemetery will be located on the left as you enter town.
From Beloit or Sebring (North):

Travel south on State Route 534 to US-62.

Turn left (east) onto US-62 toward Damascus.

Continue for about 1 mile, and the cemetery will be on your right.
Parking:
Event parking will be clearly marked near the cemetery entrance. Volunteers will be available to assist with directions and accessibility needs.
Parking Instructions
Please plan ahead for parking, as Light Up Damascus will also be taking place on the same day, bringing additional visitors to the area.
Primary Parking:
Parking for the Wreaths Across America ceremony will be available in the designated lots near Damascus Cemetery and Damascus Friends Church. Volunteers will be on site to help direct traffic and guide you to available spaces.
Overflow Parking:
If primary parking areas become full, overflow parking will be available nearby, Please follow all posted event parking signs and volunteer instructions for safety and efficiency.
Accessibility:
Handicap-accessible parking spaces will be reserved near the cemetery entrance for those with mobility needs.
Because of the increased traffic from Light Up Damascus, we recommend arriving early — by 11:15 AM — to allow time for parking and check-in.

Wreaths Across America – Damascus Cemetery
Saturday, December 13th, 2025
Ceremony begins at 12:00 PM
We invite you to join us for a heartfelt ceremony honoring the brave men and women who served our nation. The program will include remarks from local leaders, a moment of silence, and the ceremonial laying of wreaths on veterans’ graves — a gesture of remembrance, respect, and gratitude.
Volunteer Information:
Volunteers are essential to the success of this event. Everyone is welcome — families, veterans, students, and community members alike.

Arrival Time: Please arrive by 11:30 AM for check-in and volunteer briefing.

Parking: Designated parking areas will be clearly marked near the cemetery entrance.

Dress Code: Dress warmly and wear comfortable footwear; the ceremony will take place outdoors.

Wreath Placement: Following the ceremony, volunteers will assist in placing wreaths across the cemetery grounds.
This event is an opportunity for our community to come together in unity, gratitude, and remembrance. By volunteering your time, you help ensure that no hero is ever forgotten.
Here are some things to remember about the ceremony:
- Everyone of all ages and backgrounds is welcome.
- Please help ensure that all participants get the opportunity to place a wreath.
- Please follow the location coordinators instructions on where to place wreaths, as well as "how" they should be placed.
- We especially appreciate volunteers willing to help clean-up. Please check in with the location coordinator if you are interested in helping with the clean-up.
The most important thing to remember is to have a wonderful experience participating in the ceremony and thank you so much for help Wreaths achieve our mission to remember, honor and teach.
