REMEMBER the Fallen. . . HONOR those who Serve. . . TEACH our children the value of Freedom.

Welcome to the Wreaths For Uncle Wreaths Across America Page.

This group was started in honor of my uncle, who passed away on May 25th, 2022. He served in the United States Army Air National Guard. He battled stage 4 cancer for 4 years before he passed away in May. When I looked into starting a group, I knew I wanted to dedicate it to him.

Wreaths For Uncle will be helping Selma Memorial Gardens to Remember and Honor our veterans by laying Remembrance wreaths on the graves of our country's fallen heroes. We are also branching out into other community services, veteran fundraisers, and more!

Please help us honor and remember as many fallen heroes as possible by sponsoring remembrance wreaths, volunteering on Wreath Day, or inviting your family and friends to attend with you.

Thank you so much for supporting Wreaths For Uncle and Wreaths Across America!

Directions to Cemetery

Navigation systems do an adequate job of finding the cemetery. We will have parking directors to guide you to the parking area. The ceremony itself will be held at the mausoleum on the left-hand side of the cemetery. We ask that you only drive where directed for safety purposes.

Parking Instructions

Please follow our parking directors (CAP cadets in safety vests), to the parking area at the cemetery.

Ceremony and Volunteer Information

We are happy that you are willing to help with our Wreath Across America ceremony at Selma Memorial Gardens. Please do not forget to register to volunteer! That way, you will get all updates about the cemetery itself.

Here are some things to remember about the ceremony:

  • Everyone of all ages and backgrounds is welcome.
  • Please help ensure that all participants get the opportunity to place a wreath.
  • Please follow the location coordinator's instructions on where to place wreaths, as well as "how" they should be placed.
  • We especially appreciate volunteers willing to help clean up. Please check in with Evey Morgan if you are interested in helping with the clean-up. (919-283-9527)

The most important thing to remember is to have a wonderful experience participating in the ceremony, and thank you so much for helping Wreaths achieve our mission to remember, honor, and teach.
