In Memory Of for Felix Eduardo "Lalo" Valdez, United States Military, Born 05/18/38, Passed On 01/05/05, Honored by City of Laredo Cemetery
In Loving Memory of My GrandfatherA Gentle Giant, A Man of Valor, and Our Greatest Gift This holiday season, as wreaths are placed across this sacred ground, I honor the life of my grandfather, a gentle giant whose heart overflowed with love for his family, especially his daughter and grandchildren. His presence was a blessing, his laugh a comfort, and his love a steady shelter that shaped every part of who we are. He lived a life marked by courage and unwavering duty. Serving his country at a young age, he carried himself with a quiet valor that spoke louder than the sacrifice he made ever could. His hands worked many crafts with pride and purpose a soldier, a truant officer, a butcher, a hunter, an amazing chef a man who could do almost anything he set his mind to. Yet his greatest joy was always his family and his six-string acoustic guitar. He taught me how to play the guitar, how to sing from the soul, and how to find joy in the simple moments. My early childhood was full of magic because I knew that every day after school, my grandpa would be there waiting for me, cheering for me, loving me in the way only he could. He was a devoted husband, the proud father of his only daughter, and a treasured grandfather whose legacy will live in our hearts forever. His love was steady, his guidance unwavering, and his spirit remains a light that continues to guide us. Grandpa, may this holiday season in the heavenly kingdom, reunited with the Lord and surrounded by all those who served before you, alongside you and after you, be everything you ever dreamt of. Your life was a testament to honor, strength, and boundless love. Forever remembered. Forever cherished. Forever missed.
