Welcome to the Annapolis National Cemetery's Wreaths Across America Page. 

On December 19, 2026 at 12:00 pm (EST) (Wreath Placement Immediately Following Ceremony), Wreaths Across America will be at Annapolis National Cemetery to Remember and Honor our veterans through the laying of Remembrance wreaths on the graves of our country's fallen heroes, while saying the name of each and every veteran aloud.

Please help our location lay wreaths at every grave by clicking the red "Sponsor" button. Or, if you would like to volunteer to participate in the wreath laying ceremony, please click the “Volunteer” button next to the cemetery name below, and don't forget to click the "Invite" button to invite your friends and family to join you.

Joseph St. Andrews (POW), United States Military, Born 02/01/46, Passed On 10/13/64

Born 2/1/1846Passed on 10/13/1864Posted by: Dennis St. AndrewPVT Joseph St. Andrews, 12th US Infantry, Civil War. POW Battle of Globe Tavern 1864. Died of illness due to Confederate mistreatment on October 13th, 1864, age 18, in Annapolis Army hospital. Buried the same day. He fought and died to preserve the Union. Uncle Joseph, rest in peace with honor. (2025).

Francis Carter, United States Military

Cpl. Francis Carter, Born 1843 in Ireland. Fought for the Union. Died as a result of being held in Andersonville Prison. Died at Annapolis Dec 27, 1864. Buried in PA. You are not forgotten.

Directions to Cemetery

Parking:  There is NO parking at the cemetery. Parking is available nearby on the side streets and also in the City of Annapolis garage underneath the 'Park Place' development (adjacent to the Westin Hotel) across the street from the Annapolis National Cemetery.

Parking Instructions

There is no parking at the cemetery. The closest is Park Place Garage One Park Place, Annapolis, MD 21401. The rate is $3 for 1-2 hours or $4 for 2-3 hours.


Ceremony and Volunteer Information

IMPORTANT DATES! 

Wreath Delivery - Thursday December 17th, approximately 630am

  • Takes 2+ hours to unload truck and organize Wreaths  

Wreath Laying Ceremony - December 19, 2026 at noon

  • Section Captains
    • Please arrive not later than 11AM
    • You'll be assigned to Brewer Hill or one of five sections at ANC

Clean Up/Wreath Retirement Day - Saturday, January 16, 2027 at 10am

  • Please bring gardening gloves and a rake or pole to pick up multiple wreaths at a time
  • This goes very quickly and takes about 30-45 minutes
  • Onsite dumpsters for the Retirement of the Wreaths  
Parking - There is no on site parking at the cemetery. The closest is Park Place Garage, One Park Place, Annapolis, MD 21401.
