Ceremony and Volunteer Information
We are happy that you are willing to help with our Wreath Across America ceremony at Culpeper National Cemetery.
*Change for 2023! This year’s ceremony will begin promptly at 12pm on the "New" side of Culpeper National Cemetery.(also referred to as the Annex side) E. Chandler St.
Ceremony will take place by the POW Flag.
*Wreaths will be available for both sides of the cemetery. Both the "old" and the "new".
*No wreaths will be placed until after ceremony.
*Chairs will be provided for our elderly Veterans and volunteers, those with disabilities, and our Honor Guard.
*Immediately following the ceremony an announcement will be made for volunteers that sponsored wreaths and have family resting at Culpeper National Cemetery, to have a few moments before the general public to place their wreath on their loved ones resting place.
*If you are a general volunteer who did not sponsor a wreath for a specific grave, please wait while those who have family resting at CNC have a few moments to remember and honor their loved ones.
*We will have many youth organizations in attendance this year, please afford our young volunteers the opportunity to lay a wreath so we may carry out the “Teach” part of WAA’s mission.
*Parking is very limited at the cemetery. We will have a limited number of reserved parking spaces available at the E. Chandler St. cemetery for handicap, those with disabilities and elderly. Please arrive early.
Please allow yourself ample time as side street parking will probably need to be used.
*Dress appropriately for the weather, including sturdy footwear. If any precipitation has fallen before the event, the cemetery will be slippery.
*For our volunteers overseeing children, please go over proper etiquette in the cemetery. Laying the wreaths is not a race, and we want to ensure all of the interned are given proper respect by having their names read aloud. For many in attendance, this is a tender moment of remembrance of their loved one, let us ensure that we are being reverent.
*Wreaths will be laid at both the New Side and Old Side.
Wreaths will be available for pickup at both locations after the ceremony.
*Before placing your wreath, Say Their Name. Be sure to remove the tag on the back of the wreath. That is yours to keep to remember this special day.
Thank you for helping us to support our mission.
The most important thing to remember is to have a wonderful experience participating in the ceremony and thank you so much for help Wreaths achieve our mission to remember, honor and teach.

Wreath Sponsorship
Culpeper National Cemetery, Culpeper, VA 22701, United States (VACNCC) |24156|
Did you know that Wreaths Across America now offers recurring sponsorships? You can select the occurrence and cancel or pause anytime! Register now by completing this form! (https://tinyurl.com/n735zrbr)
What does it mean to sponsor a wreath? It means you are supporting a yearlong mission to Remember the fallen, Honor those that serve and Teach the next generation the value of freedom. Your sponsorship will support the new and existing programs developed to share the mission. And, it will place a wreath to honor an American hero at one of more than 4,400 participating locations this year on National Wreaths Across America Day – a day set aside to lay gathers as Americans with the same goal.
We can’t do that without your support, though. Your sponsorship will ensure that a wreath is hand-crafted of all-American balsam and hand-tied with a red velvet bow here in Columbia Falls, Maine. It will then be sent to one of our participating locations, where a volunteer will place it on the marker of a hero. That volunteer will then “say their name” to ensure that the legacy of duty, service and sacrifice is never forgotten.
So, what does it mean to sponsor a wreath? It means you have the opportunity to join a grateful nation in saying “thank you” to those who stepped up to serve.
*Please Note: Specific locations designated as "ceremonial-only" accept a limited number of sponsorships. Any additional sponsorships received beyond those used for the ceremony will be distributed to other locations.
