Here are some things to remember about the ceremony:
• Attendance may be limited for safety and parking availability (to be determined).
• Face masks are not required but encouraged; however, attendees not vaccinated for COVID are highly encouraged to wear face masks. Social distancing is still recommended (COVID & flu season).
• Please advise groups to carpool to the event to reduce traffic congestion; the driveway is only one lane.
• Please bring your own chair if required for your comfort. A few metal folding chairs will be available.
• All participants handling wreaths are encouraged to wear gloves due to tree sap and other possible allergic reactions.
• We will allow family members that are present to place their Veteran’s wreath first, please be patient and considerate.
• Please help ensure that all participants get the opportunity to place a wreath, if willing to do so.
• Please follow the coordinator's instructions on where to place wreaths, as well as 'how' they should be placed.
• Wreath laying is not a race, children placing wreaths MUST BE accompanied by an adult, and the veteran's name shall be said out loud when laying the wreath.
• We especially appreciate volunteers willing to help clean up following the event. Please check in with the coordinator if you are interested in helping with the clean-up.
The most important thing to remember is to have a safe and meaningful experience participating in the ceremony, and we sincerely thank you for helping WAA achieve the mission to "remember, honor and teach."
