To the 81,146 heroes resting at DFW National Cemetery, Today, I pause to honor each of you—not just for your service, but for the courage, sacrifice, and unwavering love of country that defined your lives. On this December 13, 2025, I will walk among your resting places with humility and gratitude, doing my part to ensure your memory lives on. As a proud USAF Veteran, I feel a bond that words can scarcely capture. You are my brothers and sisters, united forever in a legacy of honor. Each headstone tells a story of bravery, of families who gave everything, and of lives dedicated to freedom. May God grant you eternal peace and light. You have earned it through every hardship, every battle, and every moment of selfless service. Your sacrifice is the foundation upon which our nation stands strong. I promise to carry your memory forward, to speak your names, and to live in a way that honors what you gave. Today and always, I salute you.

I was almost grown when I first met Lawrence, and I had no idea what a blessing he would be, not just for me, but also for my younger beother & mom. He welcomed us into their home, across the street and spent years loving us simply because we were neighbors. When my brother died in a motorcycle accident, he gave my mom the gift of identifying the motorcycle, so she & my grandmother wouldn't have to. I don't know if Mom ever told him just how much that meant to her. Our paths diverged once I moved out of that house, & especially after Mom moved a few miles away, but whenever I came home for church, he (and Mary & Kevin) were always there, the Arlington family I still had, after Mom was gone.
