Directions to Cemetery

Navigation systems do an adequate job finding the cemetery sometimes.

The cemetery is entry is located along 5th street across from UTC's campus.  Look for the large stone entryway on the opposite side of the street from the college.  There is a gravel parking lot on the same side of the street only a few yards away.

When you arrive, please go through the main gate for the cemetery (marked by the large stone entry way and iron gate along 5th street)  to the site of the ceremony itself next to the large monument/flag pole and pavilion.

Parking Instructions

There is plenty of parking at this cemetery, so feel free to park in any available spot along the street of the gravel parking lot next to the cemetery.  UTC has given us permission to park there on the weekends.

***  It may be a good idea to arrive early as UTC graduation could be the same day as the WAA ceremony and finding parking might be a challenge if you arrive close to ceremony time.

Ceremony and Volunteer Information

Here are some things to remember about the ceremony:

  • Everyone of all ages and backgrounds is welcome.
  • Please help ensure that all participants get the opportunity to place a wreath.
  • Please follow the location coordinators instructions on where to place wreaths, as well as "how" they should be placed.
