Veterans Day is a day not only to remember those who died in service to our country, but also to recognize those who continue to serve today. Over 1.3 million military members are on active duty and over 450,000 deployed around the world including National Guard and Reserve units. We also need to think about family members who support troops who are in harm’s way or have been left behind when veterans are killed in the line of duty. And finally, we need to continue to pay attention the veterans who are homeless or down on their luck. This is a day to remember all of them.
