On December 14, 2024 at 10:00 am, ID0041 - Pioneer Chapter, NSDAR will be helping Idaho State Veterans Cemetery - Boise to Remember and Honor our veterans by laying Remembrance wreaths on the graves of our country's fallen heroes.
Please help us honor and remember as many fallen heroes as possible by sponsoring remembrance wreaths, volunteering on Wreaths Day, or inviting your family and friends to attend with you.

Directions to Cemetery
The Idaho State Veterans Cemetery is located at 10100 N Horseshoe Bend Road in Boise.
If you are heading East on Hwy 44/State St make a left onto Horseshoe Bend Rd. If you are heading West on Hwy 44/State St make a right onto Horseshoe Bend Rd.
From Horseshoe Bend Rd head north through the 4 way stop intersection at Hill Rd. Go about 200 yards, on your right you will enter into Dry Creek Cemetery. Follow road about 1/4 mile where you will see the Veterans Cemetery on your left.
Parking Instructions
We are asking that you arrive in plenty of time for parking before ceremony starts. There is limited parking inside the cemetery so we ask if you would like to park inside the cemetery or designated parking in Dry Creek Cemetery to arrive around 9am. There is NO guarantee that there will be parking inside cemetery as we continue to grow and receive a great amount of support. There is parking at Optimist Park where you may car pull to cemetery or walk in.
Depending on weather we can open 2 large dirt fields. If it is too muddy you will not be permitted to park in these dirt fields.
We will have several volunteers helping with parking should someone have questions as they enter cemetery.
We ask for you patience as we continue to work through parking issues with our amazing community as we continue to grow!
Ceremony and Volunteer Information
We are happy that you are willing to help with our Wreath Across America ceremony at Idaho State Veterans Cemetery - Boise. Please do not forget to register to volunteer! That way you will get all updates about the cemetery itself.
Here are some things to remember about the ceremony:
- Everyone of all ages and backgrounds is welcome.
- Please help ensure that all participants get the opportunity to place a wreath.
- Please follow the location coordinators instructions on where to place wreaths, as well as "how" they should be placed.
- We especially appreciate volunteers willing to help clean-up. Please check in with the location coordinator if you are interested in helping with the clean-up.
The most important thing to remember is to have a wonderful experience participating in the ceremony and thank you so much for help Wreaths achieve our mission to remember, honor and teach.
