Angelo was a Radio Operator (T/Sgt.) in the 615th Bomb Squad of the Eighth Air Force in the Army Air Force. He received a commendation on November 9, 1944 along with his crew for successful completion of a difficult mission. Angelo received the following decorations and citations: Air Medal GO 204 Hq 1sst BD on July 27, 1944 w/4 OLC Distinguished Flying Cross GO 332 Hq 1st AD on March 9, 1945 European African Middle Eastern Service Medal.</div><a class='btn btn-primary btn-sm mt-2 remember-wall-toggle-long-description' onclick='initRememberWallToggleLongDescriptionBtn(this)'>Learn more</a> Angelo Virgona, Air Force
