Sir - My family is so grateful to you for the gift you gave when your country needed you. You gave your life to your nation, and you gave your friend an opportunity he would never have had without your generosity and kindness. That legacy of honor continues in the children and grandchildren of that friend, and your selflessness and courage are forever remembered.
