Douglas Jr., Army<br/><div class='remember-wall-long-description'>Andrew Joseph Douglas Jr. was born on Oct. 25, 1932 in Ensley, Alabama. Admired for his compassion, dedication and integrity. Andy was a loving husband and father who always put his family first. He taught his children, as well as many others, not by words, but simply by his example. His actions spoke louder than any words ever could. Andy served his country as an active duty Military Policeman in the U.S. Army. He then transferred to the Air Force Reserve. On Feb. 10, 1962, he and his beloved, Patricia McDevitt, were married at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Ensley. Their 49-year marriage had its rough patches, but they were “Always. In All Ways.” He retired from U.S. Steel - Fairfield Works after a 33-year career. He was a member of Union Local 2210. Those who worked with him respected him as a coworker & friend, and admired his work ethic. Andy passed away on Dec.13, 2016 and is buried at the Alabama State Veterans Memorial Cemetery at Spanish Fort.</div><a class='btn btn-primary btn-sm mt-2 remember-wall-toggle-long-description' onclick='initRememberWallToggleLongDescriptionBtn(this)'>Learn more</a> Andrew J.
