We are happy that you are willing to help with our Wreath Across America ceremony at the Alabama National Cemetery (ALNC). Please do not forget to register to volunteer! That way you will get all updates about Wreaths Across America at ALNC from the Support Committee for the Alabama National Cemetery who plans and executes the ceremony and wreath laying.
Here are some things to remember about the ceremony:
- Everyone of all ages and backgrounds is welcome.
- Please help ensure that all participants get the opportunity to place a wreath, especially family members of those interred at ALNC. Family members place their loved one's wreaths immediately following the ceremony followed by other volunteers to place the remaining wreaths.
- In order to give all who volunteer an opportunity to place a wreath, please take only one or two wreaths at a time for placement.
- Please follow the location coordinators' instructions on when and where to place wreaths, as well as "how" they should be placed.
- We especially appreciate volunteers willing to help clean-up. Please check in with the location coordinators if you are interested in helping with the clean-up after the ceremony and/or wreath removal in January.
- Detail updates may be found https://scalnc.org
The most important thing to remember is to have a wonderful experience participating in the ceremony. Thank you so much for your help in achieving our mission to remember, honor and teach.
