Directions to Cemetery

Navigation systems do an adequate job finding the cemetery. When you arrive, please follow the people and signs to the site of the ceremony itself.

Parking Instructions

For this event, PLEASE DO NOT PARK IN THE CEMETERY, as this is where our event will be staged, near the Gazebo and along the Mausoleum. There will be a limited number of folding chairs for those who do not feel they can stand, and drivers can drop off such persons at the Gazebo but then find parking elsewhere.
Parking is available within a short walking distance along the surrounding streets: Montgomery Street, Villere Street, Jackson Avenue, or Foy Street. Please park on ONE SIDE OF THE STREET ONLY on any of these streets so as not to obstruct traffic.
Our thanks to the Mandeville Police Department, who will be assisting to guide parking and provide orderly access to the event.

Ceremony and Volunteer Information

We are happy that you are willing to help with our Wreath Across America ceremony at Mandeville.

Here are some things to remember about the ceremony:

For the fifth year, the Robert E. Lee Chapter 737, United Daughters of the Confederacy, is conducting this ceremony at Mandeville Cemetery, on December 13, 2025 at 12:00 pm (Wreath Placement Immediately Following Ceremony). The public is invited to come and honor our Veterans as the entire nation joins together on that day and hour.

Please plan to arrive early to allow for parking and to be in place, as the ceremony will begin at exactly 12:00 noon with the ringing of a bell signaling the observance of one minute of respectful silence. Following a brief patriotic program, over 200 wreaths will be placed on veterans' gravesites by volunteers from the public, who will follow the organization’s tradition of speaking aloud the name of each veteran as the wreath is placed.

Mandeville Cemetery is located one block off U.S. 190/Florida Street, in the 1600 block of Montgomery Street, between Jackson Avenue and Foy Street. The cemetery is accessed by two side-by-side driveways, each extending from Montgomery Street to Villere Street (and accessible from either end).

  • Everyone of all ages and backgrounds is welcome.
  • Please help ensure that all participants get the opportunity to place a wreath.
  • Please follow the location coordinators instructions on where to place wreaths, as well as "how" they should be placed.
