All seven brothers, sons of immigrant parents from Yugoslavia, fought battles in the Pacific and in Europe: Michael, Albert, Joe, Ralph, Steve, George, and Peter. Thankfully, all made it home safely. He was held as a POW for the duration of WWII and endured unspeakable torture. He was released in 1945 after the surrender of Japan. Les raised a family and lived to see his 90th birthday.
