REMEMBER the Fallen. . . HONOR those who Serve. . . TEACH our children the value of Freedom.
Welcome to the PA0134 - Marine Corps League Washington County Detachment 1138 Wreaths Across America Page. We participate in the $5 Forward Program." For every wreath purchased, $5 will be credited toward the purchase of another wreath. 100% of all of our fundraising efforts go directly toward the purchase of wreaths for our Fallen.
Our Detachment has been fundraising for the Wreath Across America program to benefit the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies since 2015. Each year our fundraising goals have increased. In 2024, we were fortunate to have received $14,025 in donations. Because 100% of all donations we collected went toward the purchase of wreaths and we participated in the "Wreaths Match Program," we were able to place 1,359 wreaths at the Cemetery.
Detachment 1138 has partnered with Texas Roadhouse - Washington, PA to offer an incredible incentive to donate through our Detachment. While supplies last, you will receive a Texas Roadhouse gift card for every donation of $34 or more. Once your donation is received, we will reach out to you to coordinate how to get the gift card to you.
We are proud to be part of the effort which has covered each and every grave of our Fallen for the tenth year in a row! This success could not have been achieved without the generosity of people like you . . . and we are truly grateful! Please accept our heartfelt thanks to all who have donated through us and for remembering and honoring our Fallen Heroes. Here's to the eleventh year of covering all graves at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies!
On Wednesday, July 30, 2025, Detachment 1138 will be having our Tenth Annual Wreaths Fundraising Lunch at the Texas Roadhouse in Washington, PA from 11 AM - 2 PM. This event will include a $10 lunch, bake sale, 50/50 raffle, and basket auction. The bake sale and basket auction have always received many great reviews, so come check it out for yourself! We strive to continue to make this event bigger and better each year!
We are always continuing our fundraising efforts, with the hopes to achieve eleven consecutive years of covering every grave at the National Cemetery. Won't you join us in achieving this goal in 2025?

For our annual wreath laying ceremony in December, we are blessed to receive an abundance of support from our community and average an attendance of around 3,000 volunteers every year. To that end, traffic and parking can be very challenging. Please give yourself plenty of time to get here when planning your commute. We are working with the local police department as well as the VA police again this year to help manage traffic.
Ceremony and Volunteer Information
Each year, approximately 2,000 new veterans are laid to rest at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies. Therefore, the need for wreaths is always growing. Each handmade, fresh, live wreath is made in the United States with Maine balsam. The cost to sponsor one wreath is $17. We are grateful for any amount of generosity you can offer and are appreciative of your time for consideration.
