REMEMBER the Fallen. . . HONOR those who Serve. . . TEACH our children the value of Freedom.

Welcome to the American Heritage Girls - Troop TX3134's Wreaths Across America Page.

On December 14, 2024, at 10:00 am., our precious American Heritage Girls (AHG) will be helping Silsbee's Veteran Memorial Park to Remember and Honor our veterans by laying Remembrance wreaths on the graves of our country's fallen heroes. Our goal is to place a Remembrance wreath on each and every Veterans graveside; there are 504 veterans' resting at this location. Should we surpass this goal, any overages will be transferred to the Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Beaumont, TX to assist in honoring the Veterans' resting at that location. A ceremony will be taking place at the same time, sponsored by another AHG troop.

Our Troop will arrive to honor our heroes in a special ceremony at 10:00 a.m. Afterwards, our girls will work to ensure wreaths are laid on the graves of fallen veterans until all are covered or we run out of wreaths. We would love assistance if you are willing and able to help. Simply register as a volunteer and show up. We will meet you there!

Some of our girls have been honored to serve in this ceremonial event in the past and they are very excited to keep the tradition on-going. They honored the Veterans' by individually thanking them by name as they laid the Remembrance wreaths on the graves. In some cases, there have been active military personnel in attendance to partake in the laying of the wreaths as well as participating in the ceremony. Our girls honored each of them by speaking words of gratitude for their service.

Similar to other scouting organizations who fundraiser for their members by selling cookies or sundries, this event helps our AHG girls and troops with ongoing events and meetings. Our girls not only like to do fun things like social gatherings, but they like to camp... A LOT! They enjoy serving in the community by creating cards and pictures for local nursing home or shut ins. They have also been seen serving other organizations by working a couple of hours on a Saturday morning. Our girls like to work hard so they can play hard!!

Please help us honor and remember as many fallen heroes as possible by sponsoring remembrance wreaths, volunteering on Wreaths Day, or inviting your family and friends to attend with you.

Thank you so much for supporting the American Heritage Girls - TX3134 and Wreaths Across America!
