REMEMBER the Fallen. . . HONOR those who Serve. . . TEACH our children the value of Freedom.
Welcome to the TX1470P - American Heritage Girls - Troop 621's Wreaths Across America Page. We are excited to use this opportunity as both a service for our community and a fundraiser for our troop.
On December 14, 2024 at 11:00 am, AHG Troop TX0621 will be helping Rosewood Park Cemetery to Remember and Honor our veterans by laying Remembrance wreaths on the graves of our country's fallen heroes.
Please help us honor and remember as many fallen heroes as possible by sponsoring remembrance wreaths, volunteering on Wreaths Day, or inviting your family and friends to attend with you.
For every $17 wreath you sponsor, a veteran will be honored and our troop will earn $5. This money will help us provide a well-rounded program for our girls full of Faith, Service, and Fun.
Thank you so much for supporting the TX1470P - American Heritage Girls - Troop 621 and Wreaths Across America!

In Memory Of for John Merine Nihart, United States Military, Born 03/06/23, Passed On 02/21/10, Honored by Rosewood Park Cemetery
My father is my hero. He served in WWII. As an ordained minister, he was exempt, however he voluntarily enlisted in the Army. While he served, he left at home his young wife and two toddler daughters (my sisters). They were separated for 2 1/2 years as he valiantly served our country. He was an inspiration to many throughout my life, and I'm honored and blessed to have him for my Dad.

We are happy that you are willing to help with our Wreath Across America ceremony at Rosewood Park Cemetery. Please do not forget to register to volunteer! That way you will get all updates about the cemetery itself.
Note: In the event of inclement weather, we will conduct our ceremony under the gazebo on the cemetery grounds. Please dress according to the weather and bring an umbrella, just in case. The ceremony will not be cancelled because of the weather.
Update: The ceremony will be an abbreviated ceremony beginning at 10:45 and held under the gazebo. Volunteers do not need to report before 10:00 AM because all of the wreaths have already been unboxed and prepositioned on the utility trailer.
Here are some things to remember about the ceremony:- Everyone of all ages and backgrounds is welcome.
- Please help ensure that all participants get the opportunity to place a wreath.
- Please follow the location coordinators instructions on where to place wreaths, as well as "how" they should be placed.
- We especially appreciate volunteers willing to help clean-up. Please check in with the location coordinator if you are interested in helping with the clean-up.
- Beginning at 10:45 AM, this year's ceremony will be a little different from previous years due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
- There will not be any speakers or honor guard as in previous years, but there will be the laying of ceremonial wreaths at the base of each flag pole with that branch of service flag flying at half-staff.
- Since this ceremony is held outside social distancing will need to be maintained by all attendees.
- Face masks are optional.
The most important thing to remember is to have a wonderful experience participating in the ceremony and thank you so much for help Wreaths achieve our mission to remember, honor and teach.
