Welcome to the In Memory of Ella M. DiFrancesco's Wreaths Across America Page. 

Ella M. DiFrancesco, 90, of Selbyville, Delaware, died Tuesday, June 4, 2024, at home after a year-long illness. She was born in Wilmington, Delaware, to the late George Francis Wolf and Lucy (Pettoruto) Wolf.

Ella was a wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister. She is survived by her husband of 70 years, the love of her life, Joseph T. DiFrancesco; four children, Donna M. DiFrancesco (Georgetown, Delaware), George F. DiFrancesco and wife, Cecile (Middletown, Delaware), Joseph T. DiFrancesco, Jr. and wife, Sue, (Smyrna, Delaware) and Maria Mahoney and husband, Michael (Middletown, Delaware); seven grandchildren, Anthony, Stacy, Chad, Joey, Alecia, Michael and Erin, and eight great-grandchildren, Cameron, Lucas, Laila, Makenna, Daniel, Connor, Giovanni and Sophia.

Ella was a graduate of St. Elizabeth’s High School in Wilmington. She enjoyed tending her beautiful roses and flowers with her husband, reading, crossword puzzles, Notre Dame football, but most of all she loved spending time with her family.

Directions to Cemetery

Navigation systems do an adequate job finding the cemetery.  The address is 26669 Patriots Way, Millsboro, Delaware.  

Parking Instructions

PLEASE WHENEVER POSSIBLE CARPOOL, there is very limited parking at our cemetery.  

We ask that you follow directions and instructions from the gentlemen who are our Parking Attendants!  They are very knowledgeable and will guide and instruct you!  Parking is available across and up the street.  

DO NOT PULL ONTO THE GRASS - NOT EVEN A LITTLE BIT!!!  There are sprinkler systems just inches into the grass and the weight of your car will break them.

Ceremony and Volunteer Information

We are happy that you are willing to help with our Wreath Across America ceremony at the Delaware Veteran's Memorial Cemetery, Millsboro.  Please do not forget to register to volunteer! That way you will get all updates about the cemetery itself.

Here are some things to remember about the ceremony:

  • Everyone of all ages and backgrounds are welcome.
  • Please help ensure that all participants get the opportunity to place a wreath.
  • Please follow the location coordinators instructions on where to place wreaths, as well as "how" they should be placed.
  • We especially appreciate volunteers willing to help clean-up. Please check in with the location coordinator if you are interested in helping with the clean-up.

The most important thing to remember is to have a wonderful experience participating in the ceremony and thank you so much for help Wreaths achieve our mission to remember, honor and teach.
