High Lawn Memorial Park 's Remember Wall Photos

Since 2014 High Lawn Memorial Park and Funeral Home along with help from the Fayette Institute of Technology JROTC, Lafayette Post of the American Legion, VFW Post #3110 and Mt. Hope Lions Club have helped Oak Hill, WV and surrounding areas to honor their veterans by participating in Wreaths Across America.

High Lawn Memorial Park remembers Veterans on Memorial Day as well as the Christmas holidays helping the American Legion place over 2000 flags on the graves of all our veterans.

In 2016 High Lawn staff began a yearly tradition of honoring local members of the military at our WAA Dedication ceremony. SFC William Brown, a highly decorated Viet Nam veteran is shown here w/members of the JROTC.

High Lawn's First WAA ceremony was held in 2014. Local American Legion Commander Bill Brizendine and the JROTC presented 7 wreaths honoring all the members of the military as well as POW-MIAs.

In 2015 Major (R) William Meador emceed High Lawn's ceremony and lead cadets from the Fayette Institute of Technology JROTC in laying our wreaths.

In 2017 the members of VFW Post #3110 honor guard were honored for their tireless service at the hundreds of veteran burials here at High Lawn. Members Left to Right are Sgt. Terry A. Groves, Sgt. Russell Compton, Airman William J. Brizendine, and Pvt.Charles “Chuck” Delano.

With several inches of snow and plummeting temperatures, the 2017 WAA ceremony was held in the chapel of the High Lawn Funeral Home but that didn't keep all the wreaths from being put on over 200 graves of military veterans.
