Welcome to Yakima Quilts of Valor Group 79602's Wreaths Across America Page.
On December 14, 2024 (See location pages for ceremony and wreath placement details), at 9:00 a.m. PST, we will be helping Tahoma Cemetery, Yakima, Washington, to Remember and Honor our veterans by laying Remembrance wreaths on the graves of our country's fallen heroes.
Please help us honor and remember as many fallen heroes as possible by sponsoring remembrance wreaths, volunteering on Wreaths Day, or inviting your family and friends to attend with you.
For each wreath purchased, $5 will go to our group as a fundraiser to help us make Quilts of Valor for our veterans in Yakima County. Thank you so much for supporting Yakima Quilts of Valor Group 79602 of Quilts of Valor Foundation, and Wreaths Across America!

All Veterans
World War I, Wagoner, Supply Company, 60th Infantry, United States Army. He enlisted on the twenty-fifth of August 1917 at Ft. Thomas, Kentucky, for the period of emergency. He served in Germany and France. He was in the battles of Anould Sector, St. Die Sector, Villers-en-Haye Sector, St. Mihiel, and Meuse-Argonne. He sustained wounds on October 13, 1918. PVT Daviswas Honorably Discharged from the service of the United States on the 25 June 1919 by reason of desire to re-enlist and ordered to Esch-Luxemburg, Germany for one year and was honorably discharged in Germany on June 24, 1920 by reason of completion of term of service. Character: Excellent

There is plenty of parking at this cemetery, so feel free to park in any available spot.Ceremony and Volunteer Information
We are happy that you are willing to help with our Wreath Across America ceremony at Tahoma Cemetery. Please do not forget to register to volunteer! That way you will get all updates about the cemetery itself.
Here are some things to remember about the ceremony:
- Everyone of all ages and backgrounds is welcome.
- Please help ensure that all participants get the opportunity to place a wreath.
- Please follow the location coordinators instructions on where to place wreaths, as well as "how" they should be placed.
- We especially appreciate volunteers willing to help clean-up. Please check in with the location coordinator if you are interested in helping with the clean-up.
The most important thing to remember is to have a wonderful experience participating in the ceremony and thank you so much for help Wreaths achieve our mission to remember, honor and teach.
