On December 13, 2025 at 10:00 am (Wreath Placement Immediately Following Ceremony), Wreaths Across America will be at Chestnut Grove Cemetery, Decatur, AL to Remember and Honor our veterans through the laying of Remembrance wreaths on the graves of our country's fallen heroes and the act of saying the name of each and every veteran aloud.

Please help our location lay wreaths at as many graves as possible by clicking the red "Sponsor" button. Healthy TIES offers trauma informed educational services for all types of loss trauma & grief. In honor of family of our board member currently out of state we ask that the wreath be placed to honor James Daniels or as needed to encourage gratefulness for those who serve & your mission. We thank you for following & your mutual support of ours! God bless in honor of Bessie & Stella Daniels & extended family of Decatur Baptist.You’re loved and missed too!

Directions to Cemetery

The historic Chestnut Grove Cemetery is located on Danville Road, directly north of St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, 3310 Danville Road, SW, Decatur, Alabama.  Please park at the church and allow those with physical challenges to park at the cemetery,

Parking Instructions

Parking for Chestnut Grove Cemetery is in St. Andrew's Church parking lot, directly to the south of the cemetery. Please park in the church lot and walk across the lawn and save the parking at the cemetery for those with physical challenges.  The ceremony will be taking place at the wall surrounding the resting place of Revolutionary War veteran David Johnson.

Ceremony and Volunteer Information

We are happy that you are interested in attending the Wreath Across America ceremony at the Historic Chestnut Grove Cemetery.

Here are some things to remember about the ceremony:

  • Everyone of all ages and backgrounds is welcome.
  • While we want to involve as many people as possible with the wreath laying, we have a limited number of graves.  When we are ready to place in the individual wreaths please go to where the scouts are standing in each section of the cemetery for wreaths, instructions and honor guard to the grave.  Please follow their instructions.

The most important thing to remember is to have a wonderful experience  participating in the ceremony and thank you so much for help Wreaths achieve our mission to remember, honor and teach.
