Welcome to the Winchester National Cemetery's Wreaths Across America Page.
Please note, on December 14, 2024 (Wreath Placement Before and After Ceremony), volunteers are welcome to arrive at 11 AM to place wreaths prior to the 12 Noon Ceremony, with the remaining wreaths placed after the ceremony.
There is almost no parking available at the cemetery, so we highly encourage you to carpool or be dropped off if at all possible.
On December 14, 2024 (Wreath Placement Before and After Ceremony), Wreaths Across America will be at Winchester National Cemetery to Remember and Honor our veterans through the laying of Remembrance wreaths on the graves of our country's fallen heroes and the act of saying the name of each and every veteran aloud.
Please help our location lay wreaths at as many graves as possible by clicking the red "Sponsor" button. Or, if you would like to volunteer to participate in the wreath laying ceremony, please click the “Volunteer” button next to the cemetery name below, and don't forget to click the "Invite" button to invite your friends and family to join you.
Locally, fundraising continues toward the goal of full coverage of over 5,561 veterans’ wreaths needed to honor every service member laid to rest at Winchester National Cemetery.
Wreath sponsorships are only $17, and can be sponsored directly at www.WreathsAcrossAmerica.org/VAWNCW. There are over 10 sponsorship groups supporting this cemetery. These groups represent local civic, youth, and veteran organizations giving back within the community, and any sponsorships raised through these groups this year will benefit them through the $5 back or the 3 for 2 program. If you would like to support one of these groups and sponsor a wreath for Winchester National, scroll to the bottom of this page and select a group under "Local Groups Supporting Us".
“Every $17 wreath sponsorship is a meaningful gift from a grateful American who knows what it means to serve and sacrifice for the freedoms we all enjoy,” said Karen Worcester, executive director of Wreaths Across America. “We are so grateful to the good people of this great nation for participating in our mission to Remember, Honor and Teach.”
