He served in the U S Navy during WWII as a radio operator on a diesel submarine, the U. S. S. Brill. He is missed by his daughters, Mary Lisa and Susan and husband Loren. His two granddaughters, Sarah and Rachel, and two grandsons, John and Peter, never had the opportunity to know him.
