Here are some things to remember about the ceremony:
- The ceremony for placement of wreaths, other than grave specific sponsored wreaths, will take place on Saturday, December 14, 2024 at 11:00 and community volunteers are needed and welcome to assist.
- Grave specific wreath sponsorships are welcome at the Rock Island National Cemetery. These wreaths will be placed on Friday, December 13, 2024 between 1:00 & 3:00 pm. Volunteers will gladly place the grave specific wreaths if necessary. This is done so that we can make sure that grave specific requests are properly honored.
- Everyone of all ages and backgrounds is welcome.
- Please help ensure that all participants get the opportunity to place a wreath. Please place only 1 or 2 wreaths at a time to make sure that all volunteers are able to place wreath(s).
- Please follow the location coordinators instructions on where to place wreaths, as well as "how" they should be placed.
The most important thing to remember is to have a wonderful experience participating in the ceremony and thank you so much for help Wreaths achieve our mission to remember, honor and teach.
