Welcome to the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies 's Wreaths Across America Page.

We are so grateful for the community's continued support and thank everyone who has sponsored a wreath, volunteered their time, or helped us spread the word about our mission. Each year, approximately 2,000 new veterans are laid to rest at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies. Therefore, the need for wreaths is always growing. Anything we receive over goal helps us get a much-needed head start the following year.

Each handmade, fresh, live wreath is made in the United States with Maine balsam. The cost to sponsor one wreath is $17. We are grateful for any amount of generosity you can offer and are appreciative of your time for consideration.

On behalf of Wreaths Across America, the volunteers, and families of those laid to rest at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, we thank you for your support.

National Wreaths Across America Day

Please join us on Saturday, December 14, 2024 at 12:00 p.m. for our annual ceremony. Wreath placement immediately follows the ceremony. To ensure everyone has the opportunity to lay a wreath, please only take 1-2 wreaths and take the time to reflect on the veteran's sacrifices and say their name to keep their memory alive.

Address: National Cemetery of the Alleghenies is located at 1158 Morgan Rd. Bridgeville, PA 15017

Parking: We are very blessed to have an outpour of community support for our event. Because of this, traffic and parking can be very challenging. We encourage you to carpool and plan to arrive early if possible as parking is limited. We will have the local police to help manage traffic again this year.

Carpool Parking Lot: We have once again secured a carpool parking lot at Crown Castle for the ceremony! If possible, we encourage you to carpool and park at Crown Castle in Southpointe: 1500 Corporate Dr. Canonsburg, PA 15317. Please park in the 1500 lot. Please note there are no public restrooms available at the parking lot.

Looking to Help?

We have the following needs currently:

  • Fundraising. We have nearly 17,000 veterans laid to rest at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies. Each year it gets more challenging to ensure each veteran's final resting place is honored with a wreath. If you work for a company who can make a corporate donation or if you'd like to start a fundraising group, please get in touch. We have plenty of resources to share to help us reach our goal!
  • Can you help with shuttle transportation on ceremony day? We would like to run shuttles back and forth from the carpool parking lot to the cemetery. The more shuttles we have, the more attendees we can support for the ceremony, as parking fills up fast inside the cemetery. If your company can donate buses, vans, and drivers to assist with this, please email brynnlyWAA@gmail.com

Service Hours

If you need community service hours through your school, boy scout group, church, or other organization, please feel free to reach out using the contact info below and we can get you a confirmation letter of service hours following your volunteerism.

Wreath Clean Up Day

Please join us for wreath cleanup on Saturday, January 25, 2025 beginning at 8:00 a.m. We usually have far less volunteers for this event than the ceremony so we appreciate all who can help.

If you are interested in taking wreaths to feed your livestock or bring to your farm, please join us and take as many as you'd like! The rest will be recycled/composted.
