The VFW Post 7012 of New Freedom, PA is Remembering, Honoring, and Teaching about our veterans’ sacrifices! The public is invited to the VFW’s Wreath Laying Ceremony on December 13, 2025 at 10:00 am (Wreath Placement Ceremony at Veterans Park (New Freedom). After ceremony, volunteers will place wreaths.). Please help by sponsoring a $17 wreath or volunteering. IMPORTANT! To maximize your sponsorship, please choose the “Groups” tab at the top of this page and then scroll down that page to select a group to sponsor your wreath through them. Many groups are registered in the “$5 Forward Plan” where Wreaths Across America automatically gives the group $5 forward to sponsor an additional veterans wreath! Wreaths Across America Presents Annual REMEMBER Award to Robert “Bob” Freeman of North Carolina
On Monday, June 23, national nonprofit Wreaths Across America (WAA) recognized Robert “Bob” Freeman of Gastonia, North Carolina, as the ninth recipient of the organization’s REMEMBER Award. This award is given annually to an individual or group who Remembers the fallen and their sacrifice in a way that goes above and beyond.

Directions to Cemetery
Before going to the cemeteries to lay wreaths, volunteers should attend the VFW Wreath Ceremony at the “New Freedom Veterans Park” @ 16700 Veterans Drive, New Freedom, PA (just off Campbell Road). There is plenty of parking there, but parking may be limited at New Freedom Ceremony if that is where you plan to volunteer. However, it is just a short walking distance to the New Freedom Cemetery from the Veterans Park or Park on George Street next to cemetery.Parking Instructions
There is plenty of parking at the New Freedom Veterans Park but limited parking at the New Freedom Cemetery. For able bodied persons, it is a short walking distance from the Veterans Park to the cemetery. There is plenty of parking at Bethlehem Steltz Church, St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Joseph Giesey Memorial Cemetery and Christ Lutheran Church Cemetery.Ceremony and Volunteer Information
We are happy that you are willing to help with our Wreath Across America ceremony at Bethlehem Steltz Church. Please do not forget to register to volunteer! That way you will get all updates about the cemetery itself.
Here are some things to remember about the ceremony:
• Everyone of all ages and backgrounds is welcome.
• Please help ensure that all participants get the opportunity to place a wreath.
• Please follow the location coordinators instructions on where to place wreaths, as well as "how" they should be placed.
• We especially appreciate volunteers willing to help clean-up. Please check in with the location coordinator if you are interested in helping with the clean-up.
The most important thing to remember is to have a wonderful experience participating in the ceremony and thank you so much for helping Wreaths achieve our mission to remember, honor and teach.
