Peterborough Girl Scouts see Wreaths Across America sponsorships
Last year, the Peterborough Girl Scout troop took on the sponsorship of wreaths for the Wreaths Across America program as a service learning project. The project was launched in November, and over a two-week period 56 wreaths were sponsored. On Wreaths Across America Day, Dec. 18, the Girl Scouts were joined by the Bennington troop, the Sea Cadets, members of Rolling Thunder New Hampshire chapter and members of the community gathered to remember and honor community veterans while laying the 56 wreaths and visiting all veterans' stones in each of the three town cemeteries.
