DUE TO COVID 19 SAFETY-  we will be placing wreaths privately prior to the event.  

OUR EVENT will be VIRTUAL on Saturday December 19 at 12 noon.  Log into our facebook page https://www.facebook.com/historicoakwoodcemeteryraleigh to watch! 

You are invited to come to the Cemetery AFTER December 19 to view the wreaths on the graves.  Please do not gather at Oakwood on December 19.

There is no in person ceremony or wreath laying on December 19.  Be sure to stream our ceremony on our facebook page: www. facebook.com/historicoakwoodcemeteryraleigh.   

Let's all stay safe and not gather on December 19!  Thank you for following our guidelines. 

Parking Instructions

Enjoy the ceremony from your own home!   No parking in the cemetery during the event, since it will be live streamed. 

Ceremony and Volunteer Information

We are happy that you are willing to help with our Wreath Across America ceremony at Historic Oakwood Cemetery Field of Honor Raleigh. Please do not forget to register to volunteer! That way you will get all updates about the cemetery itself.

Here are some things to remember about the ceremony:

  • OUR CEREMONY IS VIRTUAL (ONLY) AT 12 NOON ON SATURDAY DECEMBER 19. 
  • TO SIGN UP TO PLACE WREATHS ON DECEMBER 18 PLEASE VISIT THIS PAGE THE WEEK OF 11/16/2020 FOR SIGN UP. 

The most important thing to remember is to have a wonderful experience participating in the ceremony and thank you so much for help Wreaths achieve our mission to remember, honor and teach.
