All sponsored wreaths in 2020 will be placed on December 19th in four (4) placement times: Pick your loved one's section to volunteer for placement or if you don't have family there, a less popular time such as, 8am or 2pm, Please sign up for a specific time slot by clicking the red Volunteer button. If you have special requests, please contact the volunteer Location Coordinator at email@example.com to make those arrangements. Please note, masks and gloves are required for this event.

GPS SYSTEMS PROVIDE GOOD GUIDANCE TO 200 DUELL RD, SCHUYLERVILLE, NY.
THIS YEAR, PARKING IS ALLOWED ON THE ROADWAY IN CEMETERY ON THE RIGHT SIDE ONLY- you will be permitted at the section you volunteered for ONLY at the allotted time.
Please exit the cemetery as soon as wreaths in designated sections are placed to allow parking for the next shift of wreath laying.
It’s very important when your time slot ends, you exit the Cemetery freeing space for the next group of volunteers. This will prevent traffic congestion within the Cemetery and provide parking for incoming volunteers.

This year, due to COVID-19 restrictions and the need to provide safety for volunteers and visitors, the National Wreaths Across America Day, being held Saturday, December 19th will be modified.
WREATH LAYING AT 8, 10, 12 AND 2 PM NOT 1200!!!
In the past this event has drawn 1000 plus volunteers. To include as many volunteers as safely possible and adhere to safety protocols mandated by VA and WAA, wreath laying will take place over an 8-hour period this year. Volunteers will be spread evenly throughout the day and cemetery sections.
Each section will have a pre-counted quantity of wreaths, please do not relocate wreaths between sections. Return any extra wreaths to your Section Leaders, they will be given to Cemetery Staff for honoring new interments that take place after this event.
Wreath Dedication Ceremony - THERE IS NO SATURDAY, 1200 NOON CEREMONY mandated by VA and WAA for the safety of all. Ceremony is VIRTUAL ONLY and livestream Facebook Friday afternoon with the laying of 7 Memorial Wreaths representing the US Army, US Marines, US Navy, US Air Force, US Coast Guard, US Merchant Marines and Prisoners of War or Missing in Action. It will be live streamed then posted on the Gerald B. H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery Facebook https://www.facebook.com/NatCemSaratoga/ Please like our Facebook page and be notified for Facebook live ceremony. Wreath Placement – This is an even year and anticipate placing on even-numbered graves in addition to those who place their family-sponsored wreaths. Section Leaders will provide complete instructions for wreath placement; no wreaths will be laid before designated section time. This is our time to Remember our fallen Veterans. Honor those who have served. Teach our children the value of freedom. Please, take a few moments to say your Veteran’s name out loud and thank them for their service before placing their wreath. Active Duty and Veterans can render a hand salute, all others may place their hand over their heart, thank you.
Parking- Parking this year will be permitted at the section you volunteered for. Cemetery roads are one-way, all parking is on the right, leaving the left-hand side open for departing vehicles.
