"A Hero dies twice, once with his death and twice if his name is not spoken."
Welcome to the CA0609 - Wreaths Across America Carters Cemetery's Wreaths Across America Page.
WHO WE ARE:
In 2019 three girls set out in their community with one important mission in mind...place a wreath and honor our heroes. Unsure where to go they contacted a local veteran organization and learned of many monuments around the county as well as the many heroes resting at the Carter Cemetery in Tuolumne. With less than 20 wreaths the girls started pulling garland apart and designing their own make shift wreaths in order to place more. Though they did not have enough they spent the day visiting each resting place and monument reading the names one by one so they were not forgotten. They vowed after that day that 2020 would have a wreath for each resting place no matter what it took. Over the last 5 years they have teamed up with Wreaths Across America to do just that. With your help, each resting place and memorial will have a wreath.
OUR INSPIRATION:
Hello, I am Jessica Reibin, founder of Wreaths of Honor. I am 18 years old and native to Tuolumne County. My motivation is Lance Corporal Travis Desiato of the first Battalion 8th Marines killed in Iraq on November 15, 2004. Though I was not born until 2007, some part of me says that I met him, hugged him and accepted this mission to honor him and his fallen brothers and sisters. I know he is with me through family as I feel him each time I hug his sister, my best friend. "Des" was only 19 years old when he made the choice to defend our country and lay down his life. I will speak his name for always and help to make sure the names of his fallen brothers and sisters are spoken and not forgotten. Please help me honor him and our local hero's by sponsoring a wreath.
Hi my name is Hailey Reibin, I am 12 years old and this years president of WAA-Carters Cemetery. Over the last 2 years I have been learning and following in my sisters foot steps to REMEMBER, HONOR and TEACH. I am excited to announce that for the 2025 wreath year, our group has teamed up with Tuolumne county 4H to help collect sponsorships and volunteers for Carter Cemetery. There are over 400 incredible veterans laid to rest there and with the help of 4H I hope to see every grave with a wreath on it!
On December 13, 2025 at 11:00 am, CA0609 - Wreaths Across America Carters Cemetery will be helping Carters Cemetery to Remember and Honor our veterans by laying Remembrance wreaths on the graves of our country's fallen heroes.
Please help us honor, remember and speak the names of as many fallen heroes as possible by sponsoring remembrance wreaths or volunteering on Wreaths Day.
Thank you so much for supporting the CA0609 - Wreaths Across America Carters Cemetery and Wreaths Across America!
