On December 19, 2026 (See location pages for ceremony and wreath placement details), CA0471P - Martin Severance Chapter, NSDAR will be helping Mountain View Mortuary & Cemetery to Remember and Honor our veterans by laying Remembrance wreaths on the graves of our country's fallen heroes.
Please help us honor and remember as many fallen heroes as possible by sponsoring remembrance wreaths, volunteering on Wreaths Day, or inviting your family and friends to attend with you.

Francis ("Frank") Eugene Murphy served in the Army Air Corps from 1942 until October 1945 during WWII. He was assigned to the 405th Bomber Group in the European Theater, actively serving during the Normandy Invasion, the Battle of the Bulge and other military conflicts. He served as an Airplane and Engine Mechanic before receiving a promotion to Crew Chief on a P-47 Aircraft. He was awarded the American Service Medal, the Distinguished Unit Badge, the African Middle Eastern Service Medal, and the Good Conduct Medal.

The Martin Severance Chapter, NSDAR would like to honor Captain Mark Edwin Dennett, father of our Honorary Past Chapter Regent Gage Hewes. We are grateful for Captain Dennett's service to our nation in the U.S. Navy during WWII and the Korean Conflict.

Directions to Cemetery
The Mountain View Mortuary & Cemetery is located at 2400 North Fair Oaks Avenue in Altadena, California. The ceremony will take place at the Vista Del Monte Garden Crypts area. The cemetery can be readily located using GPS or a navigation system. Small curbside flags will direct you to the area.
Parking Instructions
Parking will be available inside the cemetery property. Volunteers will direct you to an appropriate section or lot.Ceremony and Volunteer Information
We are happy that you are willing to help with our Wreath Across America ceremony at Mountain View Mortuary & Cemetery. Please do not forget to register to volunteer! That way you will get all updates about the cemetery itself.
Here are some things to remember about the ceremony:
- Everyone of all ages and backgrounds is welcome.
- Please help ensure that all participants get the opportunity to place a wreath.
- Please follow the location coordinators instructions on where to place wreaths, as well as "how" they should be placed.
- We especially appreciate volunteers willing to help clean-up. Please check in with the location coordinator if you are interested in helping with the clean-up.
The most important thing to remember is to have a wonderful experience participating in the ceremony and thank you so much for help Wreaths achieve our mission to remember, honor and teach.
