Ceremony and Volunteer Information

We are happy that you are willing to help with our Wreath Across America ceremony at Evergreen Cemetery Association, Barrington, IL. Our servicemen and women served us regardless of the weather – we will do the same on Wreaths Across America Day at Evergreen!

Here are some things to remember about the ceremony:

  • Everyone of all ages and backgrounds is welcome to the Memorial Service that precedes weath laying.
  • There are few walking paths between cemetery rows, so those wreath laying volunteers requiring walkers or strollers may find it challenging.
  • Wear warm clothes and comfortable warm boots.
  • Parking is available on residential streets surrounding the cemetery, or in the parking lots of St. Matthew Lutheran or St. Mark’s Episcopal churches, south of Evergreen Cemetery.
  • Make sure your party knows that there are no public restrooms on the grounds.

The most important thing to remember is to have a meaningful experience participating in the entire ceremony. Thank you so much for helping achieve the mission to Remember, Honor and Teach.
