With our American Heritage Girls Troop, our family is raising money to sponsor wreaths through Wreaths Across America (WAA) for our local fallen veterans at the Cape Canaveral National Cemetery (CCNC). Each wreath that is sponsored will be laid to honor and remember our local fallen veterans and their spouses this Christmas. Our family began participating in WAA in 2018 and has continued raising money for sponsorships since then. We are looking forward to honoring as many veterans and their spouses as possible this year on Wreaths Across America Day, December 14, 2024 (Wreath Placement Immediately Following Ceremony). Now, we have two special loved ones buried at CCNC that we will be honoring, our Nana and our Grampy. Every time we lay a wreath, we state the veteran’s name and say a prayer for them before we place the wreath on their headstone.
