Fourth Cemetery Joins Wreaths Across America Location TNECMT

Wreaths Across America (WAA) –TNECMT started with Eastside Cemetery, Martin. In 2021 Sunset Cemetery, Dresden and Beulah Cemetery, Union City became WAA locations in 2021. On February 21, Woodlawn Cemetery, Sharon, increased the location to four.

Mr. James G. Roberts, the president of the Woodlawn Cemetery Board, met with Linda Smith, WAA Location Coordinator for TNECMT, and Sue Priest, co-coordinator for Dresden, in Woodlawn Cemetery where all forms were completed. Wendy Shoemaker will be the co-coordinator attached to Woodlawn. Smith indicated that there is still some work to do, as the number of veterans was not available. Priest commented, “While we don’t know the number of veterans present in Woodlawn, Linda and I will work with Wendy to find out. She will have all of the support she needs”
“Adding Woodlawn Cemetery to our group,” said Smith, “brings us one city closer to my goal of one WAA cemetery in every city in Weakley and Obion counties.”
