To Black VeteransThrough battlefields vast and skies of gray,You carried courage, come what may. From Tuskegee's heights to foreign lands,With steady hearts and steadfast hands. The call of duty, loud and clear,Met with pride and silenced fear. For freedom's banner, torn and frayed,You fought, though honor was delayed. With every march, with every stand,You reshaped history’s shifting sand.Through chains of old and scars of war,You forged a path, you opened doors. For those who doubted, you proved strong,Your valor sang a timeless song. The burdens placed upon your nameCould never dim your righteous flame. We honor you, the brave, the true,The world is freer because of you.In every step, in every breath,Your legacy transcends even death. To Black veterans, we proudly say:Thank you for paving the way.
