For over 55 years, their journey as husband and wife reflected unwavering devotion to family, community, and country.Floyd, a Korean War veteran and Civilian Marine at Parris Island, dedicated 44 years to his work in telecommunications and countless hours coaching and mentoring the youth of Beaufort County. Louise, a steadfast partner and mother, served over 30 years in the accounting department under Headquarters Marine Corps. Both lived by the principle of “paying it forward,” offering kindness, faith, and care to everyone they met.This season, as part of Wreaths Across America, a wreath will be lovingly placed on the Parrish tombstone, symbolizing the honor and gratitude of a nation for their contributions. It is a poignant reminder of their enduring legacy—one rooted in service, faith, and the connections they nurtured in their family and community.May their memory, like the evergreen wreath, remind us of life’s continuity and the strength found in love and service. He received a commendation on November 9, 1944 along with his crew for successful completion of a difficult mission.
