Short ceremony with the wreath laying as soon as it concludes. All are welcome.

Please make note of these additional event details below and reach out with any questions. 

Instructions:

dress for comfort and weather.

To enter the "yard" at USNA you must have with you DOD ID cards or government issued passes to drive through gates. Parking is also difficult and limited. If you find a space without "reserved for" you may park there. 

If you do not have DOD or govenrment pass you may park in downtown Annapolis and walk on, but you need to have a drivers license (a real ID) to show the gate guards .

This was the 28th years of your loss Jason. We will never forget all that you brought in to our lives. You were well on your way to becoming an astronaut when you were lost on an F/A-18 mission during Operation Southern Watch. Three more of your brothers followed your lead and went to the USNA as well. Love you, Mom & Dad

Directions to Cemetery

Navigation systems do an adequate job finding the cemetery. When you arrive, please follow the people and signs to the site of the ceremony itself. The cemetery is on "hospital point" at the USNA. Just short distance from gate 8. 

Parking Instructions

Parking is limited and you may need to park in town and walk on. Please carry drivers license to gain access to the academy grounds through the gate. If you have Military ID you may drive on, As long as the parking spot is not marked "reserved" fill free to park. If you have any questions please contact me at 443-336-6541 (carol)

Ceremony and Volunteer Information

We are happy that you are willing to help with our Wreath Across America ceremony at United States Naval Academy Cemetery. Please do not forget to register to volunteer! That way you will get all updates about the cemetery itself.

Here are some things to remember about the ceremony:

      * PARKING IS LIMITED, AND ONLY THOSE WITH A DOD ID WILL BE ABLE TO DRIVE ONTO THE UNITED STATES NAVAL ACADEMY GROUNDS.  IF WALKING ON PLEASE HAVE YOUR DRIVERS LICENSE WITH YOU TO SHOW THE GATE GUARDS AS YOU WALK ON. OUR CEREMONY IS DIFFERENT FROM NATIONAL WREATH DAY..USNA IS FRIDAY DECEMBER 12,2024 at 09:00

  • Everyone is welcome.
  • Please help to ensure that all participants get the opportunity to place a wreath.
  • Please follow the location coordinators instructions on where to place wreaths, as well as "how" they should be placed.
  • We especially appreciate volunteers willing to help clean -up. Date to be determined later in January.Please check in with the location coordinator if you are interested in helping with the clean-up at rhturman@comcast.net

The most important thing to remember is to have a wonderful experience participating in the ceremony and thank you so much for help Wreaths achieve our mission to remember, honor and teach.
