REMEMBER the Fallen. . . HONOR those who Serve. . . TEACH our children the value of Freedom.

Welcome to Dunedin Municipal Cemetery's Wreaths Across America Page.

On Saturday, December 14th @ 11 am, National Wreaths Across America Day will be recognized at Historic Dunedin Municipal Cemetery to remember and honor our veterans through the laying of "Remembrance Wreaths" on the graves of our local veterans whose service dates as far back as the Civil War. Come join Dunedin's mayor, city commissioners, city employees and area residents as we REMEMBER, HONOR & TEACH. We generally don't lack in volunteers, we lack in wreaths, so please spread the word far and wide to help our location to lay a wreath at every veteran grave in Dunedin and to have enough left to do the same at non WAA affiliated neighboring cemeteries. You  can help us to reach our goal by clicking the red "Sponsor" button to purchase a $17 wreath. You can also volunteer to participate in the wreath laying ceremony by clicking the “Volunteer” button next to the cemetery name below, and don't forget to click the "Invite" button to invite your friends and family to the ceremony and to help sponsor wreaths at Dunedin's Historic Municipal Cemetery.

Thank you so much for supporting Dunedin Municipal Cemetery and Wreaths Across America!

Ceremony and Volunteer Information

We are glad that you are interested in National Wreaths Across America Day 2024 at Historic Dunedin Municipal Cemetery on Saturday, December 14th @ 11 am. Please don't forget to register yourself and/or your group so that we have an idea how many will be attending

Here are some things to remember about the ceremony:

  • Everyone is welcome...and we do mean EVERYONE!!!
  • Turn right as you enter the cemetery and park on the right edge where available as this 149 year old Victorian cemetery does not have a parking lot. No bathroom either, but the city provides a port a potty for this event,
  • Please follow the instructions on where/how to place the wreaths. We have shepherds hooks for the wreaths at Dunedin to be placed in back of the marker with the red ribbon straightened and on top.
  • Please check in with the location coordinator if you are interested in helping with the clean-up on Wreaths Out Day in mid January-we do it the same day as Arlington.

Don't forget to sponsor wreaths today, so all veterans receive one! Please share us with your friends and family!!
