Wreaths Radio Programming Update
Since September 2022, we have added twenty-four new veteran-related partners to our lineup!

Wreaths Radio Programming Update

Originally, Wreaths Across America Radio began to provide information and recognition to the legion of Wreaths Across America (WAA) volunteers. The idea was to mix patriotic music in with conversations from volunteers, supporters, and like-minded organizations.

In early 2020, Wreaths Across America Radio added its first externally produced show called “Cup of Joe Radio.” Cup of Joe Radio is hosted by Vietnam veteran Mike Spotswood. Mike says he does the show to entertain and inform but also admits that doing the program helps him deal with his post-traumatic stress disorder. You can catch it every Friday and Saturday from 4 to 6 pm Eastern.

In 2021, Wreaths Radio expanded even further, bringing on our second external partner.  Natalie Gross, host of “The Spouse Angle” podcast, joined our growing lineup with “relevant news to military spouses and their families.” The Spouse Angle can be heard on Saturdays at 10 am and at 10 pm Eastern on Wreaths Across America Radio. Not wanting to stop there, we added “Lessons Learned” in late 2021. Lessons Learned is a series of podcasts produced by the Wyoming National Guard and focuses on the lessons each guest has learned by serving in the military.

Jumping ahead to late 2022, WAA Executive Director Karen Worcester said, “We need more veteran-related content on Wreaths Across America Radio.” That led to a concerted effort to add new radio shows and podcasts that are veteran-centric or are produced by veterans. Since September 2022, we have added twenty-four new veteran-related partners to our lineup!

As trucking is what moves the mission for WAA, we added and will continue to add trucking-related content to the station.  This year, we partnered with “America’s Trucking Network,” a show that airs on 700 WLW in Cincinnati. It also airs on Wreaths Across America Radio every “Truckin’ Tuesday” at 5 am and 10 am Eastern. We are also pleased to announce the addition of the Logistics of Logistics Podcast, every “Truckin’ Tuesday” at 5 pm Eastern.  The Logistics of Logistics is an inside perspective of what’s next in logistics and the supply chain.
