Welcome to the North Mecklenburg Republican Women (NC0319)'s Wreaths Across America Page.

On December 17, 2022 at 12:00 pm, North Mecklenburg Republican Women (NC0319) will be helping Salisbury National Cemetery Annex to Remember and Honor our veterans by laying Remembrance wreaths on the graves of our country's fallen heroes.

Please help us honor and remember as many fallen heroes as possible by sponsoring remembrance wreaths, volunteering on Wreaths Day, or inviting your family and friends to attend with you.

For every two wreaths purchased North Mecklenburg Republican Women (NC0319) donates a third wreath. As such, 100% of your donation is passed on to Wreaths Across America.

Thank you so much for helping the North Mecklenburg Republican Women (NC0319) support Wreaths Across America!

Wreaths Across America Memorial Day Message

It’s often said that for those who have served “every day is Memorial Day,” a traditionally silent observance in the Veteran’s mind that can best be described as an impossible trinity made up of an overwhelming sense of guilt, grief, and grit....

What's Your Why? Volunteer Spotlight on Lisa Briggs in Ohio

“I found out about Wreaths Across America through a newspaper article from a neighboring county about the Cub Scouts doing it and I thought hey that sounds neat, and I thought we should find a way to do it in Geauga County.”...

Directions to Cemetery

Navigation systems do an adequate job finding the cemetery. When you arrive, please follow the people and signs to the site of the ceremony itself. Address is 501 Statesville Blvd., Salisbury NC 28144. I would recommend  you can enter the VA complex front drive from Brenner Avenue and travel around the Hospital to a parking lot adjacent to the Cemetery and using the paved footpath from this lot to the Flagpole area of the Cemetery by the Committal shelter where the Ceremony is held.

Parking Instructions

There is plenty of parking at this cemetery, so feel free to park in any available spot. The roadway from Statesville Blvd fills up early so any volunteers or participants are encouraged to arrive early if you plan on parking on the roadway. I strongly suggest arrival before 11:00 am or using the VA Hospital front entrance off Brenner Ave. and traversing around the Hospital buildings to the left and around to the State Veterans Nursing home to enter the parking lot by the heli-pad that is connected to the Cemetery by a paved footpath. This short path directly enters the Cemetery at the flagpole by the committal shelter where the Ceremony is held.
