Since 2007, Wreaths Across America has grown to include millions of volunteers supporting participating locations in every state and U.S. territory. And we now have more than 6,000 sponsorship groups, many of whom are raising funds for their own programs in local communities through our $5 pay-back group sponsorship program. As we grow, so do our technical and administrative needs to ensure every veteran’s wreath is delivered to the participating location intended by its sponsor, and supporting the correct local effort in the process. 

Our year long mission to Remember, Honor, Teach does not stop after the wreaths are retired each year, rather, that is when the work to develop and enhance the many free programs and share stories of service truly begins. With your support, we can focus resources on technical and administrative areas of growth and opportunity.

Teach the next generation the value of freedom. This pillar of our mission is one we feel is critical to the future of our nation. Through WAA’s Teach Program, we offer free, downloadable lesson plans and service-based learning for youth of all ages. Your donation will directly support this effort and help us as we endeavor to reach more students and educators across the country.

The Mobile Education Exhibit (MEE) is a museum on wheels that travels the country sharing the mission and creating free events for communities while serving as a ‘Welcome Home’ unit for Vietnam War-era veterans. As an extension of our National Museum located in Maine, the MEE brings the yearlong mission to your community while providing opportunities for supporters and volunteers to share their stories. Your donation will support maintenance costs, fuel and other needed services to keep the MEE rolling safely!

Transportation partners are the backbone of the Wreaths Across America effort. Our "Honor Fleet" is responsible for transporting millions of sponsored veterans' wreaths to a growing number of participating locations in every U.S. state and territory. Your donation will help offset the costs of needed fuel, accommodations for our professional drivers, and support small-pack deliveries where needed to ensure all sponsored veterans' wreaths make it to their final destination in time for National Wreaths Across America Day.

The 24/7 internet station, Wreaths Across America Radio, is a "Voice For America's Veterans." The station shares content relevant to our Gold Star and Blue Star Families, military veterans and their families, and millions of volunteers nationwide. We do this through a variety of veteran-centric programs and interviews. This content is mixed with public service programming from our partner organizations, along with patriotic and contemporary country music, to provide an entertaining and informative line-up. Your donation will directly support the station’s efforts in covering live veteran-related events and aggregating new shows to add to the line up!

What does it mean to sponsor a wreath? It means you are supporting a yearlong mission to Remember the fallen, Honor those that serve and Teach the next generation the value of freedom. Your sponsorship will support the new and existing programs developed to share the mission. And, it will place a wreath to honor an American hero at participating locations this year on National Wreaths Across America Day – a day set aside to lay gathers as Americans with the same goal.

We can’t do that without your support, though. Your sponsorship will ensure that a wreath is hand-crafted of all-American balsam and hand-tied with a red velvet bow here in Columbia Falls, Maine. It will then be sent to one of our participating locations, where a volunteer will place it on the marker of a hero. That volunteer will then “say their name” to ensure that the legacy of duty, service and sacrifice is never forgotten.

So, what does it mean to sponsor a wreath? It means you have the opportunity to join a grateful nation in saying “thank you” to those who stepped up to serve.
